I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I'm amazed at how active Narrows is. The band is spread out over two continents and continue to stay active. After a few US tours in 2010, the Americans are packing up and heading to Europe for 2011.
Read more for the full European tour dates as well as info on a free live Narrows download.
While Narrows were in the United States last year, they swung by Seattle for Hannah Levin's "Seek & Destroy" Radio show on KEXP 90.3 FM. The preformance is available for download here from Deathwish Inc. as part of their 'Deathwish Live Series.' While there is no news of new material yet, this live EP is a great sounding bit to bide the time with.

I'd have to disagree that this live EP is all that great. I like Narrows for the most part, but I often wish they were choose whether or not they're Botch 2.0 (or 0.5 as it seems now) and I also appreciate Deathwish Inc. for putting out free EPs of their artists performing live. However, this live recording, as with most heavy bands live recordings I've heard, they just sound like a lesser quality, more poorly performed rehearsal of the band's record(s). The band's don't often perform their songs any differently, or improvise. Is there any point in listening then?
Now, if the same live audio was set to video, then I'd be interested. Seeing a heavy bands live performance is the only thing that makes a live recording worth it to me.
"It's a good quality item" (Cousin Eddie)
It's a good recording fellas, pick this up, er uh, dnld it up!
I have to disagree with you on both points Chase. I don't think Narrows is very Botch at all at this point (other than Dave's voice). The guitars are totally different. Different style riffs, tone, technique, the whole lot. And the rest of the music follows that. More noise-core than 90's metal-core.
And these recordings have a fun energy to them (would DEFINITELY be better with video though, for sure), and that coupled with the difference in sound is enough to make me enjoy this. Crucial? No, not by any means, but as a free download, I'm into it and enjoying it.
