There's still plenty of 2011 to look forward to, chiefly, Chicago doom lords Indian's new record, Guiltless. Set for release on April 12 through Relapse and produced by the too-legit-to-quit Sanford Parker, this record will showcase to the metal public one of the Windy City's best kept secrets. To satisfy our cravings until April showers bring doom flowers, Indian have uploaded new track "No Grace" to their Facebook page. You may recognize the song if you caught the band playing at Kuma's Block Party last year, or at least the video where I look like a complete idiot. Plenty heavy, plenty rough, plenty Indian.

As we reported earlier, Seventh Rule, whom Indian were once signed to, have put up a bevy of their releases for free streaming and cheap download on their bandcamp. Indian's Slights and Abuse and The Sycophant are among two of those records, you can listen and download them here.
On the live front, Indian have announced a record release show on April 9 at the Subterranean in Chicago. It will also serve as the record release show for fellow Chi-towners and new labelmates Bloodiest, who feature Bruce Lamont of Yakuza/Circle of Animals fame. Anatomy of Habit, who feature Greg Ratajczak of Plague Bringer and Mark Solotroff of Bloodyminded, will open the show.
