Lists are a lot of fun, and we've got a brand new one for you! Though it's probably useless to try and put some numerical value on art, the very act of ranking anything in list order tries to do just that. Lists can be thought-provoking, interesting and useful (for people trying to catch up on the past year), so we make them anyway. At Crustcake, not only have we each made a list for our individual top ten albums of the year, but we went ahead and created a top 25 songs of the year list as well. Presented below is a list created by four different people with four very different top 25 songs, a point system that involves some left over Tomas Haake drum patterns algorithms and 6 bottles of whiskey. We hope you enjoy it.

Glad to see the Tombs, Howl, and Iron Age. REALLY glad to see "Hellish Overdose"... jesus that song kicks ass.
No kidding, Zach. I saw The Nacht' three times this year - and each time, "Hellish Overdose" brought the house down. Can't wait to see/hear what Blake and Co. have in store for 2010.

I just saw Nacht about a week ago, and their whole set was amazing, including Hellish Overdose.
Your list is wrong. All wrong. Mine is better, but I didn't write it down, and it's just a bunch of made up songs about farting.
my mom used to make me put baggies on my feet so that they would skip inside my snow boots easier...what does this have to do with top 10,25,40 and 100 lists... not much. I don't really remember many song names. I liked a song by minsk this year. And some by Napalm Death. I liked other songs but I forgot what they were...that's about 6 songs. top six. at six and eleven.

Yeah, I don't think any of us could agree on one converge song from that new album, but Dark Horse IS on there.
