EX DEO FORCED TO CANCEL MOST DATES ON ENSIFERUM TOUR

The "Tour From Afar" is one of mythological proporitons. With alcohol-soaked folk metal from beer drinkers and hell raisers Ensiferum and Blackguard, Caligua-style madness from Kataklysm's Maurizio Iacono's Roman-themed side project Ex Deo, Swashbuckle's tales of booty and scurvy, and the Swedish maelstrom known as Hypocrisy, most of America was set to become a battleground between Zeus and Odin. And as metal has certainly explored ancient mythologies extensively, that's something we at Crustcake can toast to.

Unfortunately, the tour has become less gladiatorial, as Ex Deo have been forced to cancel most of their appearances on the tour due to visa issues (in America? how shocking!). Iacono commented,

Well the Gods are definitely not smiling on us at the moment. Some confusion happened in the visa department for a couple guys in our camp and by the time it will be solved, the tour will be too far in for us to join it and financially it would be a disaster. The good news is we will be doing the last week of shows from Chicago to New York. We’re planning some EX DEO stuff next year in America at the moment. We’ve lots of supporters that will be disappointed if it doesn’t happen so we’ll try our best to make it up next year.
