Black Tusk release new 7" split

Black Tusk, Fight Amp

Philly weird-metal purveyors Brutal Panda Records are now taking pre-orders for the previously mentioned Black Tusk/Fight Amp split. This 7" bookends the triptych of splits Black Tusk is releasing this summer, following a 7" with Holy Mountain (No Idea) and Low Country, a 10" mini-LP with North Carolina's ASG on Hyperrealist. John Baizley, taking a break from recording with fellow southern sludge metal maestros Baroness, turned out three (typically gorgeous) covers for the splits.

The Black Tusk/Fight Amp split features new material from both bands: Black Tusk contributes "Fatal Kiss" and Fight Amp delivers "Fire & Stone" in addition to an exclusive Devo cover. Brutal Panda, true to their underground pedigree, is limiting this vinyl-only release to 500 – 300 black and 200 clear. Get 'em while they're hot.

Low Country also showcases new material from both Black Tusk and ASG, this time recorded at the Jam Room in Columbia, South Carolina with Kylesa's Phillip Cope. Though a press release for Low Country promises a July 7 release date, nothing on Hyperrealist's website confirms this claim. Low Country's artwork has already leaked and can be seen below.
