I have been listening to far too much death metal lately. Hate Eternal has become much better commute music than I originally could have imagined, not to mention how good the new Bloodbath record is (no seriously! I didn't even give it a chance until it ended up on a bunch of year end lists, now I am wondering what took me so long). All this death metal and Erik Rutan has brought me back to Morbid Angel, check out "Maze of Torment" from their classic album Altars of Madness.

Stupid question, but whatever:
David Vincent...does he dry his hair black? That would be lame, but in this video he appears to have blond hair (and this is in the time period when he was originally in the band). What gives? Anybody?
yes he does, he started dying his hair around the time he left to play with the Genitorturers (featuring his wife i believe)...
it weirded me out when i saw the reunion tour and he was wearing some weird bondage stuff - but sounded amazing

i mean, it's not like he has to convince anyone he's metal as fuck: his voice defined death metal.
whatever, he probably just really likes black hair, I guess I can't fault him tooo much for that.
