Cosmo Lee called Grand Magus 'Beowulf metal' and we pretty much agree. They fall somewhere between over-the-top power metal and traditional European doom. The Stockholm, Sweden-based band will be releasing Iron Will, their fourth LP, on July 8th via Rise Above Records, and it's chock full of badass old school riffs and fist pumping metal that'll likely compel you to pull out that old D&D rulebook that's currently collecting dust in your closet. Or grab a six pack of Bawls and throw on this record for a fun-filled afternoon (or weeks-on-end, but you'll need more than a six pack) of WOW.
