Flick Friday - Meshuggah, Turisas, Some Weird Girl

Who the hell are Meshuggah to think that they can get away with releasing a trailer for their forthcoming music video? Really?! A trailer? For a product that will only be a few minutes long anyway?

It probably wasn't their idea, though. Likely it was the 'stroke of genius' of someone over at Nuclear Blast. But it seems to have worked, because here we are typing about it and copy/pasting the YouTube embed code... We're such suckers.

Yesterday, we had a discussion with ourselves as to whether Hämeenlinna, Finland's Turisas is 'epic triumphant battle metal' or simply 'folk metal.' Maybe this footage from the band's recent Orangevale, CA show will help settle the debate.
