This is the final installment of "Waltz Wednesdays," in which we've featured some of our favorite moments from Martin Scorcese's classic rock n' roll film The Last Waltz. All mp3s featured in "Waltz Wednesdays" are the versions from The Last Waltz.
Shortly after Bob Dylan rocked the music work by 'going electric' at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, he was joined by The Band (then known as The Hawks) for a series of concerts in 1965 and into 1966. These concerts with Bob Dylan would be the biggest The Band would ever play.
The Bob Dylan that appeared with The Band at Winterland on Thanksgiving, 1976 was a very different Bob Dylan from that darling of folk music of the early '60s. Here he is a seasoned veteran of rock n' roll, well on his way to becoming one of the defining figures of our time.
