Psychedelic stoners Dead Meadow are playing Bowery Ballroom tonight-- which I completely overlooked in last week's show picks-- and tickets are still available here. They'll be joined by Foreign Islands as well as TVOTR friends Dragons of Zynth.
Dead Meadow will be releasing their 5th LP, Old Growth, on February 5th via Matador. Earlier this week, The FADER posted the video for "What Needs Must Be," ostensibly the first single from Old Growth. It's pretty swell, check it out after the jump.
Also tonight, A Place To Bury Strangers are playing a cheap gig ($5) at their very own Death By Audio in Brooklyn. The show will be recorded for a live (duh) vinyl-only release, which should see the light of day sometime later this spring via the humbly-named Important Records.
Lastly, as previously reported, The Black Dahlia Murder will be bringing their Detroit death metal destruction to B.B. King's Death Metal Blues Club.
