Monday Quick-Links

• Watch the fourth installment in the "You Suck at Photoshop" series, in which Donnie (rumored to be Dane Cook, which would make this the funniest thing he's ever done) adds a background to his wedding ring (ring_of_infinite_sorrows.jpg) in order to sell it on eBay:

And yes, the ring is really up for bid on eBay no longer up on eBay (it did manage to fetch bids of over $700 before being pulled though). Watch episode 1, episode 2, and episode 3.

• From the Daytrotter vaults, William Elliot Whitmore. Daytrotter hosts casual recording sessions with bands, typically indie rock, passing through their area and then offers free mp3 downloads of the sessions. Past contributors include Vampire Weekend, Ra Ra Riot, Menomena, White Rabbits, The National, Asobi Seksu, Voxtrot, and more. More information here.

• Deciblog's "Top 5 Most Inappropriate Things We Witnessed at the Neurosis/Mastodon show in Brooklyn Last Night."

4) The exodus after Mastodon finished
Because, really, what’s the point of watching Neurosis while you’re coked-up?

• Check out this educational video in which scientists gave spiders common recreational drugs and observed their reactions. Mind-boggling stuff, seriously (thanks Jeso):

• Old websites sure are funny.

• History of trepanation:
Trepanation is the practice of removing a piece of the skull to expose part of the brain. It's one of the oldest known surgical procedures, dating back at least to 6500 BC.
And in the spirit of drilling/scraping/sawing holes in skulls, here are a few tracks:
