I agree with my parter on the left coast's sentiments-- there just aint much going on in the show queue this week.
It might be worthwhile to check out local faves The Muggabears with Boston's Explosions in the Sky sound-alikes Caspian at Grand Central Bar.
The only other show on the radar this week is an all-ages affair at Williamsburg's quasi-legal hipster hangout Death By Audio featuring Tournament, who were "enjoyable" but "unmemorable" the first (and last) time I saw them. Listening to their new tunes on MySpace now is on the verge of convincing me to check them out again. The bill also includes a band from Milwaukee called Terrior Bute, whose default photo on MySpace prominently features a keytar, and that can't be a bad thing, can it?
